Committee Interest Drink – 10/01/24
It is time to set up some committees! This event is therefore to inform you about what the possibilities are and what you can expect! 🎶✨ Three committees are in the making… EventCrew, PromoCrew, and FCC.
🎸Wanna plan cool music events? Join the EventCrew! – organize band nights, DJ nights, and any other social event you can think of together!
🧑🎨Love design or photography?📸 Join the PromoCrew! 🎞️– we’re looking for photographers/filmers who like to capture the events, and graphic designers to make people hyped with posters and other promo material!
Good with numbers? 🧮 Join the Financial Control Committee (FCC/KCC) 💯- the association’s finances are double checked by this committee, supa important (and mandatory).
*Don’t worry if you can’t join the drink, everyone can sign up for a committee. More detailed info on the committees will follow after the drink!

Music theory workshop – 6/12/2023
Do you have an interest in music theory but don’t know where to start? Do you already know some theory but don’t know how to apply it to songwriting? We are here to help! In this workshop, we will explain music theory in a fun and interactive way both for beginners and more experienced musicians, and how to apply it to making actual music.

Producer meets Rapper 2 – 22/11/2023
A couple of weeks ago, we had the first meetup hosted for producers and rappers to get to know each other and each other’s music. During this second meetup, you will work together in groups to create (part of) a track, and show each other what you made at the end of the session. If you have the time, try to prepare some basic ideas that you can work on during the session!

During the Musician Meet, there is the opportunity for any music enthusiast to mingle with fellow musicians and perhaps even kickstart their very own band. It will be an evening of jamming together, so make sure to bring your instrument! Drumkit, keyboard, multiple amplifiers, monitors and microphones are present.

On the 3rd of October, the board switch General Members Meeting will be held. In this GMM, the old board evaluates the year, and the new board proposes its policy for the upcoming board year. Join if you have questions/remarks about last year, or ideas for next year.

Open Culture Week – 2023
During the Open Culture Week, which takes place from the 11th to the 15th of September organized by the Scala associations, Modern offers two music events open to all interested students:
- 12th of September – Musician Meet
- During the Musician Meet, there is the opportunity for any music enthusiasts to mingle with fellow musicians, jam together, and perhaps even kickstart your very own band. It will be an evening of jamming together, so make sure to bring any of your instruments!

- 14th of September – DJ workshop
- Ever dreamed of being a DJ? Our DJ Workshop is your chance to shine! Whether you’re a seasoned spinner, or a complete newbie, we’ve set up a DJ controller in Ariel just for you. Bring your own USB to showcase your skills or come ready to make your very first mix, and hang out with us!
